Dear Parents,
It wasn’t that long ago when kids could go out and play on the front lawn or in the cul de sac all day without a parent to watch over them. On a warm summer night, they would come inside only for dinner and then go right back out into the great outdoors, largely unsupervised, but into a world we trusted. Maybe naively so, but there is no question, it was a far safer place where every child was cared for by the neighborhood. We at Kabillion think of our website as an online cul de sac where your kids will want to play and a place where you can feel comfortable that they are being looked after, a ”neighborhood”.
In addition to our Video On Demand network, now available on Comcast and coming soon to other cable systems around the country, Kabillion, the first multi-platform entertainment network for kids has created Kabillion.com, the online global community that features, free streaming cartoons, video games, and a whole host of interactive kid safe entertainment.
We have kids too!
Kabillion was created by parents like you who know how hard it is to find entertainment your kids want and that you can trust. We also know that busy parents are always looking for reassurance that the entertainment choices their kids are making are good, wholesome, and safe. You cannot be looking over their shoulder as much as you would like to (like every minute!). Be a hero - Kabillion.com is a “cool” entertainment choice that you can “introduce” to your child and also one where you can feel confident about your choice.
Created by a trusted family entertainment company, Taffy Entertainment, www.TaffyEntertainment.com, Kabillion.com is a fun, safe and responsible online environment. Taffy Entertainment has been involved with great programs like Clifford The Big Red Dog and Jakers! The Adventures of Piggly Winks both on PBS, ToddWorld and Growing up Creepie for Discovery Kids, and Code Lyoko and Fantastic Four on Cartoon Network. The same care, high quality effort and attention to responsible programming has been given to Kabillion.com. What’s more, our website is governed by the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) (www.ftc.gov/privacy/coppafaqs.htm ). This means that we are overseen by governmental regulatory bodies. But more than that, we are overseen by our conscience and sense of responsibility for your child’s safety.
Although we are watching out for your child’s safety 24/7, our policy is to get parental permission before we allow your child to participate in our community. (www.kabillion.com/signup/consent.en.php ) Sure, it makes it harder for us to encourage participation here on Kabillion.com, but that’s our policy. And while we occasionally provide links to sites outside our safe community, we also provide a warning that let’s your child know that they are leaving the safety of Kabillion and should get your permission.
Kabillion is Fun and Safe
Ever piece of content submitted by our users is rigorously screened before it is posted for our audience. Every picture, every word, every video is carefully reviewed and moderated to ensure nothing objectionable gets through. You can be sure.
Our games are non-violent. No blood, no shooting, no sex.
Our shows are safe – nothing rated TV-14. We keep it strictly kids, nothing risqué. This is not Youtube or MTV. We work hard to give your kids a full robust “cool” destination, while still keeping it parent trusted.
We provide a robust, interactive online experience that will challenge your child’s creativity. Writing a story ( www.kabillion.com/community/stories ) can help young minds interact and learn how to use their imagination when faced with a piece of “white paper”. Writing a caption for one of our silly photo’s ( www.kabillion.com/community/contests/captions/new_contests.php ) can teach a child to create jokes for their peers while getting safe honest feedback…and maybe even an award!
We encourage you to spend some time on the site playing a videogame or watching a cartoon…it’s family time online! It’s fun and it’s free.
We hope that you and your child will enjoy your experience with what we feel is a quality entertainment destination. In fact, we want to hear from you. So write to us at Editor@kabillion.com and let us know what you think.
